Ans.

(b) Laptop users found that a USB Flash Drive reduces the bulk and weight of the equipment that they must carry when using laptop computers.
(c) Put hundreds of photos on a USB Flash Drive - it becomes a small, portable photo album.
(d) For people who need to work both in the office and at home, a USB Flash Drive eliminates the slow data transfer over the internet (via e-mail).
(e) Physical security of a USB Flash Drive helps to keep confidential data secure.
(f) For environments with dust, pet hair or other environment conditions that cause unreliable operation of floppy disk and other removable storage media, a USB Flash Drive offers a faster, smaller and more reliable alternative.

Q03. I plugged my USB Flash Drive in, but Windows XP doesn't recognize it. What should I do?
Ans.

Please update your Windows XP operating system, by installing Service Pack 2. You can download it directly from the Microsoft website here: Windows Update. After installing the Service Pack, the USB Flash Drive should be recognised by your host computer. If this does not happen, please contact our technical support using the support request form.

Q04. How can I find out if I have administrator rights?

Q05. My USB Flash Drive has bad sectors, how can I get it fixed?
Ans.

Because of the TRUE FFS technology, which the USB Flash Drive is based on, all bad sectors are disregarded and not written too. If you are sure that you have bad sectors on your USB Flash Drive, please contact our technical support by using the support request form.

Q06. Do you have Windows XP drivers for my USB Flash Drive?
Ans.

USB Flash Drives don't need drivers in Windows XP, as they are detected and installed automa-tically. If not, please update your Windows XP, by installing Service Pack 2 from Windows Update.
If you already have Windows XP SP2 installed you might need to update the drivers for your mainboards USB chipset. To do that you have to find out your mainboards manufacturer and your mainboards model number. Go to their website and download the latest drivers from there.

Q07. Why do I get the message "Plug in the USB drive into your computer and restart the application" ?
Ans.

When using an extension cable, a docking station or a USB hub to connect your USB Drive or MP3 Player to your PC you could receive a message saying that your device can't be found to start one of our applications (Lock it Easy, Surf it Easy, Travel it Easy or Carry it Easy). To resolve this issue you should connect your device directly to your PC. Then start the application again. If you still receive the same message, please make sure that your USB Drive or MP3 Player is recognized properly by your PC.

Q08. What happens, if I pull the USB Flash Drive out while an application such as Word or Excel is accessing files from the USB Drive?
Ans.

If an application is running and you pull out the USB Flash Drive, the computer screen might turn blank. In this case just press the "Esc" key to return to normal. The data that is accessed from the USB Drive might get corrupted or your work might even get completely lost. It is not recommended to do this at any time!

Q09. What should I do if I do not see the removable disk in Windows Explorer after I have inserted the USB Flash Drive?
Ans.

Refresh the screen by right clicking on the "My Computer" icon and selecting the "Refresh" menu item (or by pressing the F5 key). If this fails, remove the USB Flash Drive and replace it back into the USB slot. If you are using the Windows 98 Operating System, please make sure you have the necessary drivers installed. If the USB Flash Drive fails to be initialized again please contact our technical support using the support request form.

Q10. I installed my new USB Flash Drive but there is no drive letter assigned.
Ans.

You can refresh the page by clicking on "View" then "Refresh" or by clicking on the F5 key on your keyboard. If no drive letter appears, please contact our technical support by using the support request form.
